Abstract
This study examines the influence of perceived benefits, ease of use, and farmer trust on the adoption of agricultural electrification technology. Agricultural electrification technology is a form of modern innovation aimed at increasing the efficiency and productivity of farming businesses by utilizing electrical energy in operational activities, particularly irrigation systems. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. Respondents were farmers who used or were familiar with agricultural electrification technology in Giriroto Village, Ngemplak District, and Babadan Village, Sambi District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, who were selected purposively. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and field observations, then analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)-PLS method. The results showed that perceived benefits and ease of use positively influenced the adoption of agricultural electrification technology. Meanwhile, farmer trust did not significantly influence adoption decisions. This indicates that farmers prioritize perceived direct benefits, such as cost efficiency, operational ease, and increased productivity, over trust related to the technology's safety, reliability, and quality assurance. Overall, adoption of agricultural electrification technology at the research sites was more influenced by perceived benefits and ease of use than trust. Efforts to increase technology adoption need to focus on delivering tangible benefits to farmers and simplifying technology use through ongoing mentoring and training.
