Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the effect of discussion technique group guidance services on the academic procrastination of SMK Negeri 4 Surakarta students during the covid-19 pandemic. The research method used an experimental method with a research design of one group design pre-test and post-test. This method is carried out by giving pre-test before being treated with group guidance services with discussion technique and giving post-test after being given the treatment. The results of pre-test and post-test data will provide an answer, whether there is a difference between before being given the treatment and after being given treatment. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, by taking 12 students of class X Tata Boga. Methods of data collection using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Based on the result of data analysis shows a significant difference between the results of pre-test and post-test. This is evidenced by the results of the paired sample t-test. The t-test shows that count> table is 12,784 > 2,200. The results also show significant value of 0,000 > 0,05. The value of the comparison of the pre-test and post-test from the results of the paired sample t-test shows the number 17,33. The conclusion can be seen the difference between the result of the pre-test and post-test which show the effect of discussion group guidance service on academic procrastination for class X Tata Boga at SMK Negeri 4 Surakarta during the covid-19 pandemic.
